Review: Park Inn by Radisson Hotel Bratislava

The hotel offers a combination of comfort, convenient location, and accessibility.

We tried out accommodation in the center of the capital city. The hotel is in an excellent location, right by the Danube River, on the edge of the historic center and Bratislava Castle. The location is ideal for exploring the city.

All main attractions are within walking distance: Bratislava Castle, St. Martin’s Cathedral, the historic streets of the Old Town, and the Danube promenade. The location is ideal for those who want to fully experience the atmosphere of Bratislava.

First impressions: Effortless check-in and prime location

Check-in went smoothly; the staff is very professional. The accommodation on the fourth floor of the south wing offers a beautiful view of both Danube embankments. However, guests staying on this side may experience some noise from the traffic on the embankment.

The room: Practical comfort with a view

The hotel room is furnished in the typical Park Inn style – simple and practical. The bed was very comfortable, located in a smaller room, which created a feeling of privacy. Dark curtains allow for a quality sleep. There was also a work desk, a small seating area, and basic amenities such as a bathrobe and blankets.

Bathroom and amenities: A minor detail

The bathroom was divided into two parts – a separate room for the toilet and another for the bathtub, shower, and sink. The only disappointment was the toiletries – the hotel provided only a universal soap dispenser, which is a bit lacking for a hotel of this category.

The rooms are spacious, clean, and offer everything a visitor would expect from a hotel of this category. Standard rooms offer a choice between a double bed and separate beds.

Superior rooms are larger and offer a better view, while Deluxe apartments are ideal for those looking for more space. The apartments have a living area with a kitchenette, refrigerator, stovetop, minibar, and even ironing facilities.

The adjustable RGB backlighting in the bedroom is a nice bonus to enhance the atmosphere. One of the biggest benefits of the hotel is its quietness. Despite being located in the busy city center, the rooms are well soundproofed, ensuring a peaceful sleep.

Gastronomy: A satisfying start to the day

Breakfast was included in the room price and offered a tasty selection of dishes such as cold cuts, vegetables, pastries, yogurts, muesli, and a hot buffet. Although the selection is not very wide, the food was fresh, and you can also find meat products from a local butcher, prepared especially for Park Inn.

The buffet-style breakfast offers a selection from which everyone can find something for themselves. Outside of breakfast, this area houses the Bocca Buona restaurant, which is part of the hotel. Here you can order from a menu with a sufficient selection. The food is tasty and the service is relatively fast.

Wellness and fitness: an urban oasis

During their stay, guests can use the beauty salon, cocktail bar, cafeteria, the aforementioned restaurant, and also the wellness area. We consider the wellness area, located on the 1st floor, to be the most interesting part of the hotel.

The indoor pool has a large glass facade through which you can admire the castle and its surroundings while swimming. The saunas are separate from the pool area, and there is a Finnish, steam, and infrared sauna available.

Adjacent to these is a quiet relaxation zone. As part of the wellness, there is also a very well-equipped fitness area, which is included in the price of wellness. The relatively spacious gym is air-conditioned and offers 20 different exercise machines and a dedicated area for weights.

Final verdict

The Park Inn by Radisson Danube hotel is a suitable choice for those looking for affordable and comfortable accommodation in Bratislava. It is ideal for business travelers, but it is also an interesting place to spend, for example, a weekend stay.

Its location right by the Danube and its proximity to the historic center make it an ideal base for exploring the city. The rooms are clean, quiet, and well-furnished. The wellness with a view of the castle, spacious rooms, and helpful staff are reasons to come back again.

We were satisfied with the hotel’s services and recommend it. Despite being in the center, you cannot hear noise in the rooms. The view from the hotel is unique – from some rooms, you can admire the majestic castle or the SNP Bridge.

The apartment was clean, the large bed was comfortable, and we have a very good overall impression of the hotel. In addition to traditional trips abroad, it is good to also focus on the domestic market, where you can find many interesting accommodation options and discover the beauties of our capital city.
